Santa Came Early for AIG

After the first handout AIG handed out bonuses and now wants a few more billions. Class war sure is ugly isn’t it? Except for those at the top who are getting, on top of the 10 trillion dollar tax cut, another bailout reminiscent of the Silverado S&L bailout during the Reagan Bush years. None dare call it socialism. And correct they may be as the true names are cronyism nepotism and out and out corruption. Cheney is now worth over 200 million from 29 million in 2000. Now that’s a great turn around in the real economy.

War is damn good business and with hardly, read no, regrets the present junta is so enriched by war on terror etc that they see no need to help anyone in the fake economy where things are built and not blown up and replaced like Halliburton industries of Dubai does as a matter of fact.

The Wall St Fat Cats are not required to divulge where or how they spent the “bailout”. Its another government secret like the other things that have been hidden from sight. The Emperor has no brains and, surprise, no morals either.

Who is to Blame?

You know the blame is constantly shifting. I remember in 1st grade  it was one of the kindergartners who left a puddle in the breezeway of a substance found in most BART elevators since 9/11.

If I am in the very least implicated I will admit I am part of the problem. i.e. I still like to rant about the coal industry using mountain top mining. But do I quit using electricity? Hell, no!
When I plug in my charger for my rechargable batteries the  mountain streams of WV are being buried. “So shut the F$%# up liberal,” you might say as you finish your Kobi steak and Chilean seabass surf and turf(sic) combo and thank the Lord for the freemarket(sic) system.
Aren’t we all just a bunch of glorious hypocrites?
Remember when you point a finger or the finger at someone or something, four are pointing right back at you.

Rush Vs Pelosi

My friend has a much stronger stomach than I do. He actually listened to the speech Rush Limbaugh gave for the 2009 conservative forum. He commented that democracy has been stolen by the democrats and Obama is a spendaholic and nothing the government does helps anyone we can’t afford this… repeat GOP talking points etc etc.
Well I made the reply that Obama has only been in office 40 days and he barges in saying,” You sound just like Pelosi. The dems have had control for 2 years and it is their mess. Your tone of voice changes and you talk to me like I have no sense” you’re a self-righteous asshole.”
And then he hung up. I think Mr Limbaugh has once more spun a pile of lies into a controversy.
As I recall in 2001, the GOP told us to “get over it” in regards to the stolen election. Now way out of power, the republicans, are trying to create discontent regarding the stimulus package and the revison of the tax code.
Like I said yesterday, the wealthy have had it really good the last thrirty years. the middle class and the working class not so well even with great strides in productivity wages have been flat.
My friend is a disabled veteran and has had a long fight to get his claim approved yet he seems to think that single payer health care will doom us all to VA style medicine.
I asked him if there was a problem couldn’t the GAO or another standard maintenance organization oversee the new system? he said no the Government can’t do anything right. I said what about the FAA and iar safety?
What about the Highway system?
He wasn’t able to jump away from this. Thetalking points didn’t cover my argument.
He says I am Pelosi when I disagree and I call him the talking points memo of Minister of information Der Rush.
maybe he identifies with Rush as he is morbidly obese also and has issues with women and blacks. Just like Rush. Just like the GOP

Where Liars Go

The amount of lies amassing on the Fox News regarding the “class war” is astounding. Here’s why they are so upset. These talking heads are the exact ones who will be paying more taxes. Take Rush as another example. He makes a little less than a million dollars a WEEK. Last week he seemed to be needing a girlfriend to spend some of his hard earned pay before the Obama tax increases take effect. They aren’t really tax increases actually they are a repeal of the Bush handouts that finished the job Ronnie Raygun started in 1981.
Class war my ass.

Class war the ho from Wasila.

No Changes

It looks like the Rove defiance of the Senate Judiciary Committee invitation to testify(3rd attempt) regarding the alleged misdeeds of the previous administration. As time goes on there is a creeping suspicion on my part as to the complicity of the Obama administration to “make nice” with the criminals that walked away from the justice department after obstructing investigation into the crimes of the Bush/Cheney years.
The excitement over Git Mo closing is overshadowed by the announcement that Bagram Prison will continue to be a black hole for Human Rights. The joke is US. We call on Hamas to obey the UN charter and give the finger to the Geneva Rights Convention that protcts our troops. Afghanistan has no plan no end game only more bodies to send into hell to kill people we know nothing about.
Endless wars
Just like GW promised.
Where’s the draft? oh we don’t need it now. Who wants to work for the Army? Navy? Air Force? Marines? They are
hiring. Caveat emptor the bonuses for stop loss time are not being paid out. Support our troops? Thieves and liars change their names, but the games are the same.

How Fox Spreads Hate

I get a call from a friend a disabled vet who watches way too much Fox news. He can only say “I hate the n@*%%@# president, I wish he would shut up but he won’t quit campaigning.” I reminded him that the media has all the channels playing the GOP pundits saying they won’t go along.
He calls me a “self-righteous preachy asshole” I remind him that Fox is making him ill with hate. He hangs up. Call me back and tells me he can’t stomach my attitude anymore. I am sorry he feels he must stand up for people who would just as soon spit on his disabled government supported ass. The same people he feels need another tax cut like the one that bribed the American people into shutting up and not complaining about high oil prices, high credit card rates, or the bankruptcy laws.
He hates to hear this. It’s the democrats fault they’ve been in power since 2006. He hates the illegal aliens who “suck the marrow out of our economy” and the “fucking liberals giving away the world to do nothing to help.”
He wants to get rid of them, the entire congress, when it is just the remaining knuckdragging conservative GOP diehards that want the “radical bipartisanship” to end and a return to the saner more or less unrestrained markets of the last eight years. How quaint, my friend, you think Obama will be a Bush clone? No one can be that bad.
My friend thinks Obama knew how bad it would be and should shut up. Election over. I say “you don’t like the guy, change channels. TV is very democratic”
He will cool off or have a coronary. I think the culture wars are just beginning. The scary part to me is the fact that many people still think if they are nice and quiet and don’t call the lie A LIE, they too, will get their little piece of the pie. The Bush administration did a Madoff on us. I am not quiet. I did not get over it. 11 trillion reasons to impeach them now and get the evil behind bars. Fox News is killing my friend’s  mind.

Obama Plays Karzai

Asia Times article about Afghanistan and how Obama never “consulted” with president Karzai. The author never mentions that Karzai is a product of the U$ oil conglomerates in fact being an employee of Standard oil of California at one time past. He fit perfectly with Condaleeza Rice and the oily folks of the previous adminstration (may justice do to them what they did to the “collateralized” folks). The average citizen of Afghanistan know that Karzai is so corrupt and that he will not change anything. Ths interesting thing is Hamid is trying to say that WE the USA and NATO are allowing drug trafficking and that WE the USA and NATO are bribing war lords. Nothing has changed at all since we moved in there in ’01. Why can’t we just buy the country one family at a time? it’s the poorest country in the world. They are poorer than Haiti for God’s sake, it’s got to be a great deal compared to invading occupying and subjegating and bribing all the contractors, neighboring countries, and foreign heads of state not to mention those pesky Russians who are a little too eager to assist in supplying us with new access to the battle fronts from Kirgistan, Ubeckistan, and the regions above Iran.
Looks like the neo-con map to me. Is it just my imagination?

The Disappointing Regime of GW Bush

The legacy tour continues as Bush claims his administration has put up some great numbers. The fact that 17 of 24 members of his cabinet who have resigned found jobs lobbying the same departments they were employed by. Its an open door to the market place once the doors have shut behind them.
There were no mistakes. Only disappointments. Reality and the language has been transformed by the double speak of the war on terror. Liberation of 50 million he claims mistakenly have been liberated. Of these some 4 million Iraqis have left the country. I guess that’s liberating, but not as liberating as being liberated from your body as has perhaps 1 million since the war/occupation began.
It will be a further disappointment if the war criminals who supposed that torture was/is OK will be let free with not so much as a slap on the wrist. How can we, as Obama and Biden say, “look forward not back”, if we have such nasty things hanging over us as the crimes and misdemeanors of the last 8 years.

Will Obama Follow Our Lead?

Did you hear Jonathan Turley on Rachel Maddow last night? He said the new USAG needs to investigate and prosecute for violations of the Geneva Conventions by the Bush Administration and the Neo-cons now in the implementation of Operation Change history quick aka the legacy tour. Can you say “we no longer torture?” Uh, excuse me please but this would imply that we used to do those horrible things to people who have never seen a judge nor charged with a crime other than being sold for a few hundred dollars for being an enemy combatant. Whatever that means.
Mr Turley made the case for doing our job of enforcing US and International standards of treatment. I am talking about war crimes.
Will we be embarrassed when another foreign magistrate arrests one of our present leaders the minute they set foot in Europe?
Screw Joe Biden and his “Let’s look forward. not back.”

Hey Joe, That’s bull hockey and the last eight years have done so much damage to the “integrity” of this nation. We voted for change. We voted for Justice. Now is the time to clean up the war crimes of the past, in our homeland. The number one priority is showing the world we deserve respect because we are a nation of laws and not a nation of torture.
